It’s nearly that time again. As some of you might have noticed, I’ve already laid SDS out for November’s National Novel Writing Month endeavor..where I will once again try and get my story outta my head and hope that it’s 50K words long. I’ve been looking forward to this since my stress level is extremely high [it worries -even- me] and writing will be a good way to channel that into something and reduce it. In this capacity I am grateful that writing does that for me. In spare moments that I’ll allow myself I’ve been thinking about what I want to write. I’m torn between taking a world that’s been paritally defined and running with my interpretation [I always lean this way, should tell me something] and with a character study. I want to do both, but I think I’ll go for the character study. I’ve found one of the main characters, the other is elusive a bit and my best writing [typos included] comes from when I’ve found the characters I’m writing. So in the days leading up to 1 NOV 06, I’ll be thinking about character 2 and see if I can’t find them.
This year I will try doubly hard to post my progress for anyone insterested in reading. If you look to the far left I have my progress meter and a link to the novel that will be in progress, to be published, naturally at Anodyne, the place where I keep my written work. So..who’s going to be struggling with me?
