I got word mid last week that my best girlie in the world is leaving...leaving. And not the 'I'm going on vacation, I'll have a midori sour for you', it's the 'I'm bound for Michigan in 5 days and will be there a year' ?! I'm so happy for her. I talked with her on Friday night. So I'm lying in yet another dentist loungy chair. Except I'm not in my dentist's office. No, I'm feeling out the orthodontist my dentist referred me to. That's a lot of ists. Anyway, I knew from the time I was about 13 that I needed braces. So did my sister. The rub, as Hamlet would say, was money. Meah...been busy. Benn tired too. Look I can't even type I'm so tired. Course I'm highly suspect that has to do with the workout routine more than anything. After much 'experimentation' I have found a routine sequence that works. I'm hoping that after another week, I won't feel so apt for a power nap 3 hours out from the end of the work day. My mother called me at work today telling me I made her allergies kick up. That's tough woman speak for 'you made me cry.' Mom had said last month that she'd like to start writing in a journal again. She also voiced wanting to read Nicholas Sparks's new book 'The Wedding.' When she walked into her room this morning, both were tied up in a festive ribbon with a 'Welcome to your new home' card and a message within telling her 'For a new start.' I've been in the door for a bit. Long enough to put stuff away, get things semi orderly and me just about ready to call it a night [read: moving away from all things living room and comp room and settling up in my bedroom].
