The Saga of Casa Primer Continues
So, for those that weren't around when I bought Casa Primer, you will not be in the know of the drama that came with that. It's quite possible, you may not know that I don't like drama in my life. I have enough stress as my baseline as it is for the adding of drama. Here's the Previously. And here's the Now: … [Read more...]
You don’t have teh correct
So I've tapped the Craigslist vein to sell some items that I no longer need. So far I sold my old bed and mattresses that went with it. It looks like a 3 piece bedroom set that we've had for years [it was my sister's] will be sold this week if they people interested like what they see in person, a wall mirror that I just don't have wall space to put up without cluttering things and a cabinet I bought not to long ago that I thought I could make work, but it's just taking up space. [It ended up … [Read more...]
Want, Need, Time
I want to jot down what's been going on with me these past few days, but I'm choosing sleep over it at the moment. Plus, I haven't really had a moment anyway. I'm in FL right now, the funeral was tonight for my cousin's baby boy. As you can guess it's a somber time and we have to deal with a side of the 'family' that's insistent on making this whole thing about them. I have family in quotes, simply because they're family by way of a technicality...the woman provided the womb, the nine … [Read more...]
Perspective
I actually had a few blogs in progress regarding the past few weeks. I had my annual holiday shindig a few weeks back with a healthy turn out of people that dropped in and left their appetites at home or they were shy. Then again I hail from Scottish heritage, pretty sure that means I'm hardwired to make a spread to feed an army if the occassion called for it. Ironically enough, my garage was a centerpiece of discussion. Forward to the holidays that were chock full of friends and family … [Read more...]
Mind Your Next Step
I've been trying all damn week to finish this and post it. I've just never had the time. It's pretty much been one of those months. Anyway.. I got my mid year review back from my boss this past Monday. Our mid year reviews give us the option to toot our own horns, as long as you can do in 2000 characters or less. Not words..characters. It's purely optional but highly recommended [which the cynic in most of us reads as 'do my job for me, telling me what you've been doing, even though if I … [Read more...]
Let’s go Epic, for the hell of it
I met the ClaimsGuy the Friday after my accident. He took a look at my car, took pictures and gave me an update on where everything is. That being that I essentially surprised the lady that hit me by reporting the accident to my insurance, who then started a claim with her insurance on my behalf [had them contact me to start things off]. ClaimsGuy tells me he spoke with the lady that hit me. He didn't have to get far in the detailing of his talk with her before I knew exactly where her … [Read more...]
‘Well…learn how to drive’
On the way to the doc's office, I was rear-ended. Annd scene: I'm driving down the road toward the on ramp to the interstate. The drive from my house to the Doc's office is fortunately not that far, so the drive should be fairly quick- drive down the road, get on the interstate for one exit, get off, turn, park. I'm in the turning lane to make the left onto the on ramp and I come to a stop because there's oncoming and the guy's not far enough away to turn in front of him clean [as in not … [Read more...]
The Deja Moo* of Workplace Politics
So I realized not so long ago that I've been with the Slavery for four years now. All I kept thinking was that was close to five [in my weird way of rounding in that 'in three hundred some odd days, it'll be five']. I had to take last Friday off for medical stuffs [always fun] so I was trying to get to a good stoppage point Thursday where I discovered my CD burner is a woman. It decides it'll read discs, then it won't and it definitely won't burn them. That was interesting. I'm pretty much … [Read more...]
File Under: Pure Aggravation
Today I got off work early because I had an installation at mine Casa to be home for. It was the reason I went in early, I could get a lot done with little interruption. I'm glad that's how that part of my day went. So I'm at home waiting for aforementioned installation. The installation people call and let me know they're going to be late. Not just a little, but a lot because of complications with the install prior to mine which is cool with me, it gives me the chance to work out before … [Read more...]
